Improve County Road 115 while preserve and enhance the scenic qualities of the corridor.
cr 115 details
The specific project area is located on the north, east, and south sides of Round Lake. Residents and recreationalists in this highly-developed area enjoy their homes and cabins on Round Lake, as well as Lake Hubert and North Long Lake. The speed limit is currently posted at 35 mile per hour in this area. There are numerous access points along the corridor and there are a number of resorts that gain access in this area to support the recreation enjoyed in the Brainerd Lakes Area. The lake shore is highly developed with numerous small lots that results in each property owner trying to maximize the use of these lots with homes, cabins, garages, landscaping, etc. There are also some larger property parcels along the corridor.

Crow Wing County along with their consultant WSB, have continued to meet through the winter months to compile and review existing data along the CR 115 corridor and to develop concepts for the roadway. Utility coordination is occurring to determine potential impacts to their existing facilities and make plans for future relocations. A presentation of the concept(s) is anticipated to occur in July 2018. We will continue to collect other data as needed in the upcoming months, including soil boring and Archeological/Cultural Data along the existing corridor.
